Clare O'Farrell

Dublin born artist Clare O’Farrell and daughter Deborah Donnelly have been painting since their early years, and their work is in private collections and galleries worldwide. Clare has always been fascinated by New York. As a young teenage girl, she was so intrigued by the bright city lights and shaded images of people, moving briskly about the place. The paintings convey her memories and feelings of Times Square of the blinding neon’s and the multitude of cars and yellow cabs constantly moving anonymously. These sketchy images are the result of fond memories of New York that are reminiscent to Clare. The similarity between herself and Deborah, is in their use of brush strokes on canvas.
